Hi guys,

Hit a serious pothole yesterday, was following another car closely & did not see it in advance. Popped Rft rear tyre & buckled the wheel.

I'm looking for wheel straightening service providers in dbn.

Thanks

That's y I stay far away from every one drop the hammer...

depending on how badly the wheel is damaged if it can be fixed or not... will also determine the cost...

You might want to look at buying 1 rim might be cheaper post some pics please...

PLEASE NOTE THE RIM YOU REPAIR WILL GET DAMAGED MORE EASILY AGAIN not sure about all places but in jhb a lot of my friends rims got buckled and after the repair by various places they were all damaged again same rim smaller potholes...

If the rim got damaged so badly , you should also check on the cars suspension for damage as well , Where was this pothole? Which road?

Wheel collision on Acutt Avenue, they aren't cheap but their work is flawless. You'd have to visit their shop to see what I mean.

Hi guys, wheelcrafters have closed down & I got an estimate from wheel collision = R1k

Regarding replacement I am assuming much higher cost, I have 17" double spoke msport wheel (rear wide)

Checking with other service providers I've found a variation in pricing

1. Eagle wheels R550

2. Just mags R250

Any comments or reviews working with these service providers?

I wont use Just Mags, if these are the guys in overport. My wheels were never 100%, their paintwork strted peeling after a month or two.

There used to be a place in Umgeni Road that was pretty good, forget the name.
Mag Repair Services I think. Used them and they were good.

Stay very far away from just mags.. They use 4pound hammers in the driveway to straighten rims..

As for eagle wheels I never had a pleasant experience with them either..

I would strongly suggest wheel collision as they will guarantee their work done...

Been down this road. Wheel collision is your best option - they run a pretty slick operation and have got top end equipment. You might as well throw the wheel in the bin if you send it to some of the other guys mentioned.
