If that front bumper cover/spoiler is not OE put yourself down for R15k for the original M3 cover plus R2k for spraypaint.

Not a fan of the rear spoiler, but hope the car is clean and sure you will enjoy the car. BTW, I saw a black CSL at automania in Kyalami. It looked a bit roughed up though. Didn't have a price on it so guessing it will go for some 'corrective' maintenance first.

I thought the CSL was a completely changed trunklid? Not just a spoiler stuck on?

It is a completely changed trunk lid on the CSL, this one is aftermarket.:coolShake:

That is definitely no oem csl front bumper in the picture.

My thoughts as well, i asked for all invoices for repairs and extras.

the non OEM bumper is not a deal breaker, stock bumper is my preference.

this will be my first BMW,this is the only one i would buy... styling, icon... perfect balance between classic and modern.

Hey man, depending on mileage you might want to check some threads on the forums here for S54 (engine) maintenance - keep that in mind when you buy the car as it can rack up a pretty tidy bill... If some of that work hasn't been done be prepared to negotiate further.

Cosmetics are relatively easy to sort out compared to hidden engine issues. I'd pay special attention to the state of the engine (Vanos seals, mods etc.) and insist on mechanical and service and repair history.

I Have been reading and youtubing for 2 weeks now.
i have made a list of things i need to do and deadlines, i would like to keep the car stock as possible.

brakes, then mounts and bushes... before August 2017

Valve clearance and rod bearings by November 2017

Sounds like a plan, you've clearly read about some of the issues (note, you might want to add in a vanos overhaul as well in that list). Overall looks like a fine list - can't say I like the custom bits tacked on, but if you're getting the original bumper and the price is right (having subframe sorted also obviously good) then I think you should be ok.

Aah yes vanos service.
Will add that, I will take it for a test first... they can pen that down as well.

lift the boot mat and see if there is any cracks on the boot floor... thats where the subframe hits the body and cracks it... saying the subframe was replaced is another concern on its own...

do the engine work first! then worry about the other stuff.
