Pirelli Pzero Rosso

Hi guys, just got new Pirelli Pzero Rossos on my 325ci this morning. It is the 225/45/17 as fitted to the Sportpack rim.

Drove for about 120km and the difference is amazing! The Pirelli P6000's that the car came out with was worn and the road noise was extremely bad. I can barely hear the tyres now :thumbsup:

You would expect the previous tyres to be worn, seeing that it was the original set the car came out with. I could not believe that 17's would cover 65000km! And no jokes, there was still about 4mm left on all the tyres.

I think time made them so hard that it was almost impossible for them to wear :clap:

Anyone else fit these tyres and what was your experience?

i have read a lot of negative feedback around the net regarding the p6000's .. they seem to have a bad reputation.

The thing that bothered me the most regarding the P6000's was the wet weather grip.

I could live with the road noise (which was basically my fault due the the car not being used often), but to sacrifice safety in wet weather was not an option.

Had a big scare at about 110km/h around a corner on R21 in Kempton. Car aquaplained around a corner and almost parked me into the side of a truck. This was with about 4mm of thread left.

Fitted a set of the P6000 on the rear of my 320d and it constantly trigger the DSC. SLOWLY going through bends would make the DSC react and try and 'correct' my driving. Switched the two P6000's to the front and the troubles were over. (Luckily) lost the one P6000 in a pothole with only 3000km on them and then decided to switch over away from Pirelli. Running with Turanzas now.
