Paint type

Good day

I need some advice... luckily it is not marital this time.

I am in the processing of respraying my car, it is an E34 95mod and the original color is British racign green. The guys from the paint shop are suggesting that I buy base coat and clear. The guy working on the car tells me that i should settle for 2K paint in view of the model...:banghead:

Does anyone have any idea on this subject...?

Do 2k base + clear... 2k does't mean single stage. The single stage paints you get today don't last as long as they used to, due to environmental issues... If you are going to respray the entire car, go for two-stage, it will last longer and be easier to maintain. If you want more detailed advice, go on the hotrodders forum under bodywork and exterior...
