In with the new Rob Beck PCV...

Today I quickly installed the RB PCV, as well as a new blow by vent flapper thingy.

I also installed a BMS oil catch can.

Left, OEM, Right, RB

After installing the goodies, I cleaned the engine bay.
Its wicked dusty this time of year, and the dust gets in everywhere.

I used Meg's quick detailer to clean.

But I actually want to use engine cleaner or something and hose of with water afterwards and then dry with a cloth.

Would you suggest I rather not wash the whole engine bay with water?

I hate a dirty engine bay, and now it is relatively clean, but the nooks and crannies are still dirty.

Riaan, just be careful not to get too much water near the coil packs.

Was thinking about steam cleaning. Don't know if there's someone doing it in Klerksdorp.

Where can this be done in GP?

Not sure, years ago I saw it done in Alberton but as I said years ago. Im sure most carwash places will have engine cleaning facilities.

Riaan periodically check the forge pipe connection exactly where pictured. I have seen two Cars with the plastic where the pipe connects cracked. Not sure if it was over tightened a few times or just from time but worth a look now and then.

Another fanatic ordered for us directly from Rob. Check out n54tech for details.

Thanks George. I checked all the clamps yesterday, and all of them were somewhat loose. I'm real scared of over tightening, so I do check them periodically if they tight and if all is well.
