I want to fit an aftermarket oil temp guage to my 330i. Any advice? Where on my block is the temperature sender unit located, and can I use a T-piece or tap directly off it? My old Audi had a stock one and I really miss it. Control Instruments carry the VDO unit plus dash housing, but maybe i can fit it flush just to the left of the steering column, below the wood trim strip? - need about 70mm free space behind the dash in that spot. Any advice welcome.
