Going to be a challenge to get close to those other specials out there.
If anybody out there is willing to send me a copy of the invoice I would appreciate it, can't see how they can do it for R499.

Regards

And there you have it....thanks John...the other post where its around 1000 is more believable as cost can be justified

You booked it in for Monday for R800 bud, did you ask for the oil service special and did you speak to Monique who does the bookings ............. find that quite strange.

John I will gladly send you the invoice, will scan it in now and forward to you, you can decide whether it is b*llshit or not!

Lol. Yes, the invoice will ensure the work was done.

Same as the invoice that said my 5er's air filter was replaced shortly before I bought the car at BMW, only to find upon removal that it was date stamped many years ago and was falling apart.

Just like some dealers tell you a fuel filter is a life time part. Hell look at my E60 when we did the service. FSH with BMW and that air filter was destroyed

We get it, you don't trust BMW workshops. Are you prepared to beat this point to death to win an internet argument over the price of an oil service special?

Oh my Lort .............

We will now take a fking video and upload it of a service being done, any CPTN dude taking his or her car in it only takes 45 min so take a video and post it, and yes it is not only BMW dealers that can screw you over but the many arseholes I have been to that are "brilliant" but actually back door idiots :hammerhead:

Hi Everyone,

I have received an invoice to double check and I then called the dealership to find out how it is working. On the invoice you can see that they are writing a lot of money off on each of the services, so from the information I have and what I have found out, it is a legit special. Hopefully this will put everyone at ease. I must say I can't compete with the pricing as writing that sort of money off isn't sustainable for me. I must say, if you can, go for it.

Regards

Read John's comments ................ and so ends this sermon ... to those guys that actually got something out of this thread and had their cars serviced for R499.00 - that was just the news I was passing on.

My E92 coupe went in for that special, but I also had other work done, battery replacement, coolant flush etc, and my bill ended at over R5k, the point is that they use the oil service as a loss leader, and get possible additional work requested or pointed out when the key gets read....so it's make perfect sense
