Hi,
My car its BMW 316 I E36 MODEL 1997 8 VALVES. The oil pump is situated inside the cover and is only one gear.
After the sump oil was broken. I fit another sump from there oil light don't stay on.
I strip the engine because the main bearing, big end and the crank-shaft was damage due of lack of oil.
The mechanic who fit sump for me he say I need another oil pump. But before broken sump everything was fine.
Line bore the block grind the crank-shaft fit new big end, main bearing, set of rings close the engine. The car start one kick but I still have the problem with oil light on. It seem no oil pressure. I prime oil pump even fit new oil pump and change oil pump cover with another one after I prime this last one, I still have same problem no oil pressure. Can some one give me solution for this problems or any body happen to him before.
