I ran OB1 on my n54 335i, didnt have time to get Eth but Pypher13 had some OB1.

Used about 5l OB1 to 40l 95 pump before the Masstronixs dyno day the next day at KAR, not as concentrated as recommended with JB4 and DP with race flash, the car made 265kw and 622NM at wheels.

Didn't have much time for the car to adapt properly but was happy with the figures considering the flash was also only done about 8 hours before the dyno day:praise:.

I have no issues with OB1 - i run stronger that Normal Mixes and car loves it
Not as good as Eth - But does the job well enough

Eth Cheaper for What you get as apposed to OB1

So it comes down to preference

Anyone know where to get OB1 in Cape Town? NF Ultra worked for me in the past, but I've heard good thing about OB1 and I'm very keen to try it.

dont u need special fuel line and pump for eth?

the N55 and N54 can handle Ethanol standard, its even mentioned in the owners manual.

U need the Jb4 with Flex fuel wires and that will allow you to run upto 40% ethanol mix with the stock pump without any issues. Any more than that you would need to upgrade the fuel pump.

I see, so max 40 eth, 60 petrol then. maybe i should give a try

I've tried a few different mixes in my M235i with jb4(incl flex fuel wires)
15L pump fuel with a 5L ob1 was awesome and what I liked is the fact that ob1 also includes a special fuel system lubricant, which prevents wear on fuel system components.

Ob1 works like a charm on both platforms. I have used and still use it often on my n54 and have used multiple times in customers n55s, have seen great gains.

No. You don't start with a 40% mix. You start with a 10% , log the car, review the log then increase percentage in increments of 10%. You need to check all parameters including lpfp n hpfp to make the car is coping well. Email us your logs and questions as your jb is from rennzport. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

I agree with Firi, don't jump into a 40% mix just yet. Incremental change is key, start with 10% and increase from there as some cars can't cope with bigger Eth mixtures, esp the EWG cars (not sure if your car is PWG or EWG).

I tried some OB1 this past weekend in my n54 and I'm very happy with it. Mixed 10 litres OB1 to 40litre petrol. Car ran amazing and I will definitely use it again.

Howsit guys

So I tried OB1 in my car over the weekend. 5L of OB1 to 25L of pump fuel, car came up with drivetrain error twice and then a miss on high rpm, could it have burnt a plug, getting it checked tomorrow.

Thanks

howsit bud,

I have been running OB1 for years on many of my cars including my N54 and never had any issues, when last were your plugs changed? have you run any other additives in the past?

I hope you get it sorted soon
