O2 Sensor delete Question

Hallo Gert,

I have read somewhere that you delete the O2 sensor from the list of sensors that the ECM detects, so if this is done, how does the ECM detect the amount of fuel needed for the engine?

Does the ECM then rely on the MAF and camshaft sensors to fuel the engine correctly?

Thanks in advance for shedding some more light on the subject :)

Hey Gerbrandt,

You only delete the post cat O2 sensor for when the customer does a decat on the car. You don't delete the pre cat O2 sensor, as this is an essential component in any closed loop system.

Thanks, yep, Nikhil I am obsessed, because this car is still drinking fuel like a 1985 Chevy V8  No matter how light my foot is, so now I drive it like it is stolen because it does not make one iota of a difference to the consumption :=):
