Noisy wipers !

Hi Guys,

BM replaced my wipers last week as I complained the passenger side was skipping and noisy. They fitted new wipers but they are friking terrible! I drive in all sorts of ran a few days ago and they make such a terrible noise. even VERY heavy rain.

Does anyone have the same issue and been able to solve it yet? I am not really keen on putting RainX type product on the windscreen unless it really works and had no other issues.

Cheers

Oh the pain of noisy wipers! Did they replace both wipers or just the passenger side? Best to replace both at the same time - I try and avoid replacing during the summer months down here since it doesn't really rain too much and the blistering sun is constantly scorching the rubber.

Maybe use some mild glass polish or for that matter one of the fairly "abrasive" whitening tool pastes to polish/clean the windscreen - I know it sounds odd, but it works to remove any greasy muck that soaps don't always remove. Is RainX one of those glass lubrication treatments? I have heard of something that can be put onto the glass to allow wipers to move more quietly and not shudder for that matter.

I also this problem. I've tried C thru blue. It does work. But would like to fit frameless wiper blades.

They replaced both wipers. The drivers side was fine but now both are really bad. It sounds like two balloons rubbing together!!

So you guys reckon clean windscreen?

It could be the windscreen. Sometimes the soapy stuff in your washer bottle leaves a residue on the screen causing the noise. Try cleaning the windscreen too.

+1 on the C Thru. Used it for long distance driving with brilliant results.

I have the same problem so i got me a bottle of c thru. it really works. Couple of years back i had to use a my aunts car to go to tech during winter. then her wiper motor broke and i had to fix it but didnt have buck so i bought c thru and it worked i drove thru heavy storms and its even better than using your wipers. Wipers to me are just an irritation.

You sure they didn't fit those horrible durablades rather than proper wiper blades?! jk

What are you using in your windscreen washer bottle?

I think they just fitted normal blades....Can I get C thru at Midas?

Bottel has whatever BMW put in it...not sure might need to empty it.

Wipe the wipers :fencelook: with the C-Thru or rain-x also.

Sometimes the rubber on the blade gets a little hard and some spots which causes the noise.

I read somewhere you can also soak the new blades in warm water with a teaspoon salt for about an hour then wipe them with glycerine.
