On the way home I got on a bit of a bumpy road. Those living in PTA may know the Rietvlei Rd which goes past the dam.
So I hit a few filled potholes and I hear a thud sound at every bounce. I am assuming its the RSM's. Maybe just the left one. :argh:
I check the Haynes manual but it does not give possible signs of the RSM failure. The only real way to check is to remove them.
I looked around could not see anything else loose like the exhaust or the trailing arm. I had the rear subframe repaired a few years back but that sounded different.
I need to get this checked and fixed ASAP maybe even tomorrow otherwise I wont make the midnight run.
Where can I source these except from BMW. Bemows is a bit of drive away even though I am in PTA. I am speculating at the moment and may just remove the shock and check if I get the nerve and space to work in the garage. :drama:
