hi all,

got my wheels back from being refurbished today, from mag workshop,
they did quite a good job, i'm happy with how they came out and the colour:=):

also got my tyres today, yokohama A Drive r1's, i wanted hankook ventus v12's, but they were on back order for like a month and didn't want to wait so these were my second choice

sorry for the bad cell phone pics, will post better ones when i have the time,
cant really see the gunmetal metallic in the pics but its quite metallic and has a nice shine in the sunlight
cant wait to get these on the car:rollsmile:

so got my wheels and tires fitted yesterday:joy:

i'm over joyed:rollsmile:

they really fit so nicely imo, the lip sits just a couple mils proud of the fenders with some very subtle tire stretching keeping the rubber just inside the arches, really impressed with the fitment of these 5series wheels on the e46, it has a lot of presence/nice stance imo
the fender gaps are high and the car could seriously benefit look wise with some lowering, but until i have cash for a nice set of coilovers in the future it is still a really nice daily drivable setup at the moment and i think still looks nice

i really need to borrow one of my friends camera's soon to take some nice pics of the car, but for now here is what i have,

thanks everyone:thumbs:

@oppositelockmt, thats definitely the plan, m tech II if i can ever find the parts, clear or clear smoked lenses all round, shadowline trim, maybe black tint, black kidneys
but a lot of saving up is still required before that:thumbdo:

@andy1gp, ya, im happy with how they fitted, and they seemed to go on easily, no issue, and i like that it has the rim protector on them, should hopefully keep the wheels fresh

@sp33dyv, :thumbs::thumbs:

@andre320d, thank you, will post up some more pics of the interior soon, the cream leather is growing on me, i always liked black..

I must admit, I find that the mtec I bumper kit suits the prefacelift better then mtec II. a matter of opinion of course, but an opinion worthy of consideration.

I had to choose between MTech I and II, though I do appreciate the appeal of MTech I (classy look)..I just thought it looked a bit dated.

Though if MTech II is doesn't done right it does look a bit awkward ie;

Top one looks slightly awkward, and in that state MTech I would have sufficed.

So I do agree to a certain extent, really I don't think you can go wrong with either.

thanks for the food for thought,
i do like both the mtech I and II variants, but must say that i am leaning towards the mtech II, i just feel like there is almost no other bumpers that suit the cars lines and style better then the mtech II ones, oem and aftermarket/conversion included

not yet at that point so still have lots of time to make my mind up thankfully:=):

so many things i wish i could do to my car if only funds provided:flyfun:

i think some service items, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, plugs etc are needed next just as preventative measures, style and speed are going to have to wait a while:cry:

Looks good Nirvash:bravo:
Was it not possible to get a lower profile tyre for the rear?

Once you get tired go the wheels, I'm sure you recoup some funds on the sale and Gizmo can organize you a set of 18s:praise:

IMO, 18s fit just right on the E46:thumbs:

@yuben,
thank you,
i could have gone for a lower profile, but i wanted comfort, and to stay within the factory recommendations for 17" wheels, also with our bad roads/potholes etc i wanted some cushioning for the wheels to help from damaging them,
lower profiles definitely woud look better though:thumbs:

i had 18's on my e46 323ci and they looked and felt really nice, but for now im really happy with how these 17's look:inlove:

@bmw325i,
thank you:thumbs:

Car looks awesome! Now for clears and a drop to complement the sexy wheels. Also black out all the chrome trim and maybe black headlight inners, then this car is going to pop! Oh yeah, tow bar delete? I find the CSL rep front bumper looks best for a pre facelift e46.

@tris,
thanks, its also something that grew on me and wasn't actually first what i was looking for, i think with black sportspack seats the interior will look really nice,

@yuben,
sig will be updated soon, need to take a nice pic:thumbs:

@gizmo,
thank you, its all thanks to you it looks the way it does right now:praise:
i agree with what your saying, the list is as follows at the moment,
- black kidney grills
-black tint
-black trim
-black headlight inners (thank you for the idea:thumbs: i didn't think of that)
-clears all round (am thinking maybe smoked but liking clear more and more and think it might suit the car better,
-coilovers
-LED tail lights (any brands/ideas anyone oem?)
-nice headlights (any brands/ideas anyone, oem?)

tow bar is soon to be deleted, it completely ruins the look of the car, but serves as bumper protection/rear end damage so have a hard time coming to grips taking it of:blab:

+1:thumbs: csl bumper on pre fl e46:thumbs:

so me and my car bonded a bit more today over another wash, so i decided to take a couple more pics, still soo pleased with the new wheels and the car in general:inlove:

got new valves put in the wheels as one was leaking slightly, so far so good,

i decided tomorrow i would treat her to a black 35% window tint:rollsmile: i think it will really suit the car

need to take some interior pics soon..:fencelook:
