Hey dude,
Congrats. She looks awesome. enjoy!
Give us your opinions.... since you've had E36 and now E46 cars.....
But spend some time, so we can get a mature view ;)

Well to keep in touch with time and the technology trend of the whole motor industry , BMW had to get it faster and safer than the e36 M, but it is not really noticeable by feeling of the pants (if I can rely solely on memory).
One thing that one notices immediately is that the e46 is much more planted than the previous one, but I guess they had to get rid of the “Widow maker” status that clung to the e36.
Personally, I preferred the raw character of the e36 and that “one wrong move and your dead” handling, but I guess that is simply because I prefer cars with less frills and electronic wizardry.
Rides much harder than the e36, but seating position is way superior.
To sum it all up, the best way I can describe it is that the e46 is like a SLIGHTLY more competent, but also more responsible(and dare I say ever so SLIGHTLY more boring) big brother of the e36.
This is just my opinion, and anyone can feel free to disagree with any of this blab i just wrote.

awful raspy/tinnish sound

I think your ears are broken :slap: :)

Luckily they are not broken to the point where I can’t appreciate that glorious induction and race-car-like mechanical sound.
I am not bantering on the tin lovers, but I just prefer it with a more conventional BMW straight 6 sound

So this is the lil E46 you want diagnosed......

Dammit dude but she is fine. Guess the heart won over logic again... it always does....

Love it, swing past any time for a diagnostics. Will do for you with pleasure.. I am contemplating skipping piston right on Sunday, bathrooms are finsihed so we want to work on the bird a bit...

As for missing the E34, its odd to explain how you can miss a 16 year old car thats worth nothing this much, I fully and totally understand, so you have my sympathies on the matter...

Looking very nice Fordkoppie. Flip, I can't keep up with your car buying. Every few months there is something new.

Keep this one for a while now please. :)

Naah. It is only my Ford that could keep me hooked.
Most likely because no one else wants it, but it is still my favourite.

Chris, you vanished so quick on sunday, and even the drive there you were keeping to the back, were you scared of taking on my 325ACS, or were you scared of my mother in law on her broom behind me??? :mmm:
