What did I say about "either than that"?Finally had a chance to get the car up in a lift as my stepfather’s new workshop is finally up and running.
Needless to say, this man knows what’s up.
Both brackets were broken, so the handbrake cables are rubbing against the driveshaft under harsh acceleration. They’re in a metal sleeve which is why it sounded like metal on metal.
Didn’t have any spare brackets obviously, so they’re just cable-tied in position for the time being until I get some replacement clips.
Other than that she still looks like a college student underneath. Check all bushings, seals, etc and the only thing that appears to need attention is the bump stops (completely toast) and some weeping at the gearbox
