Gents with turbos in the mix now from both BMW and Merc, displacement isn't quite as big a factor as it was previously. This can clearly be seen from a car which has had many discussions centered around it, the Golf R, a 2l 4cylinder turbo, giving much bigger engined turbo'd cars a proper run for their money. In my opinion, the decisive factor going forward is how these cars, the M4, C63-S, etc, put this power down!! And as the M3/M4 have shown, they put it down pretty damn well!raise:

Agree, the new C class does look terrible!
In a straight line it will most probably clean the new M3 but Merc still refuses to listen to their customers.
No lsd as standard, no wide arches (so they have to stick with 255 rears :nonono: ) and no dct yet :thumbdo:
