Opel and Vauxhall have announced plans to introduce a variety of new models at the Geneva Motor Show.

First and foremost, the companies will unveil the highly-anticipated Astra OPC / VXR. It features an aggressive body kit and a turbocharged 2.0-liter with 280 PS (206 kW / 277 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. Other highlights include High Performance Struts (HiPerStruts), a FlexRide chassis and lightweight bucket seats.

I would not be so quick to dismiss these cars. Having owned an Astra OPC H, can confidently say these cars are pretty potent hot hatches. Yes I know all the talk of excessive "torque steer" etc but that is what made it such an exciting car to drive(it really was not that bad). It demands your attention when driving if this is not for you than you always have the Golf Gti, engage D sit back and enjoy the cruise.

Looking forward to the new one, sure to be epic...

Wonder what price it will come in at. Interested to see what market it competes with. Knowing a new gti costs close to 400k, this thing is probably going to be a stupid price.

Looks like things are heading the 4wd way. Even the new 135i will be released in an xdrive option. (Wonder if that is for overseas clients only?)
