Guys I need a radiator for my e36 325i, the plastic piece is damaged and pipe is not gripping properly and loosing water.
Car almost over heated, because of loss of water,I need a new one.
Has anyone bought from a spares shop called ZOLA 24 ?
They have but the brand is called PLEXUS or something.
I was thinking of getting from Goldwagen but they closed tomorrow, would anyone know how much one would cost?
Thanks

Prattley STEEL Prattley METAL MENDER will see you thru till you get a new one, if you clean the surfaces nicely and then score it to create some grooving (like a nail file) then the glue will stick properly, it also has great ability to take high temperatures.

once nice and hard, should see you thru a week or two whilst you source a replacement

Get a radiator from Silvretone Radiators, they sell BEHR, which is OEM for BMW.

Hi Ralf
Let me explain the story, my wife was using the car and as she stopped at her destination the car got hot and said to stop.
I bit of a long story after that I had someone to assist her.
Problem being on the air filter side where the pipe goes into radiator its broken (bottle neck of radiator) if u can call it that. Now there is about 1/2 centimetre thread left and about another 1/2 in the pipe, so from the beginning I think it was already broken and the previous owner made a plan there or so.
So she managed to get home with the pipe clamped to the 1/2 piece on the radiator and with the heater on, car drove fine and the needle in the middle. Now I need a new one a.s.a.p.

Bought a new radiator for a 316i E36 for about R987 from Silverton and it is a Behr OEM. Your's should cost much the same. Btw, tried a Silverton agent in Bellville and the price was exactly the same as in Onrus River

This happened to me 2 months ago, the radiator neck goes brittle after all those years in the hot engine bay. Fortunately I caught it before the car overheated. Replaced with Behr radiator from Silverton that I got for R1.4k, but unfortunately the car overheated 3 days later…some pipe at the back of the engine burst and is leaking water quite badly. Was quite pissed and have parked the car since! I’m not prepared to deal with an overheated engine right now…………..
Anyway Silverton should easily sort you out, but you should have a view to replace any old rubber/plastic components of the cooling system that as old as the radiatior, these WILL be next to go…

I replaced all my pipes behind the engine about 7 pipes if not mistaken 5 water 2 oil breather pipes... they were all brittle and busted was leaking coolant... bought OEM at BMW... now I'm replacing the Radiator pipes as well... they soft

@ SClass,

All might not be lost - the bmw engines are tough, take some time - do a compression test...if its low at some pistons, it may indicate a blown head gasket. If it didnt overcook too long, it could just need a new gasket...

Silverton is probably the best place to source a decent radiator.

And I can't get a radiator for the Yaris. Damn limited edition imported vehicle.
Only agents and they want like 5k :(

Yeah I know, just not prepared to deal with this now, have bigger issues to tackle for now. Will probably rebuild the entire engine and be done with it, I'd like to keep the car forever!

Silverton doesn't have an aftermarket radiator for the 1.8 Yaris but they managed to repair it :)))
Hope it does the trick.

Same engine as the Auris (2ZRFE) but different radiators.
Agents only.
