So the all my cars are with them. When the M3 was binned they paid out exactly what they said they would on the cover letter. Sadly buying the car back was not a option, and frankly i can see why they only lost 30k between what they paid out and what the car sold for on auction. The were by far the cheapest on the C63 when it came to the replacement car so my cars are still all with them.
Claim was painless (as much as it can be) and yes mostly humans dealt with. The AI is more for the qoute process for the basics yes and no stuff.
Some people get decent premiums from them others don't. They beat my broker quotes by around 30%.
On my Volvo, I have a Polestar software upgrade pushing claimed output from stock 140kw/420Nm to 162kw/440Nm.
Naked were not concerned, given that Polestar refer to the upgrade as an "Optimisation" and not a "performance upgrade"
Reasonably priced, but not worth it in my case. Quote came in R30 less than what I currently pay on my Scirocco and in the case of naked, this excludes household insurance. Also, I had no issues when claiming from my current insurer, so it doesn't really warrant a change
I am currently with Naked Insurance.
One of my cars is being parked in a Pretoria dealership workshop, awaiting parts and repairs. I messaged Naked Insurance to update my cover and I am saving R200 pm while the car is there. This includes risk of accident if the car is driven as part of the repair test drive process.
WIth all my previous insurers (Miway, Kingprice, Santam) there was always an issue with widescreen claims and getting OEM glass...with Naked no issues at all!
Please check the updated policy wording that was sent out a few days ago.
Some changes to car cover, with respect to replacement if the car is less than 12 months old, and new Eskom Grid Collapse exclusions on house/contents cover.
