N55 x35i Oil

Been looking around as to what oil to use as a topup, some suggest 10w60, 5w30 or 5w40?

What is the correct spec to use for our N55 x35i motors?

Why not just get the top oil from BMW, its cheaper and you will get the right spec.

Nope Castrol Magnatec 5w30. It was professional (The Gold Bottle), i think BMW changed the oil in 2011/2012.
