N54 Big Turbo Build

I managed to achieve 563.5whp and 724nm on the 20 psi map. This was with a 3GPH nozzle. I removed the damaged 10GPH nozzle. I should start testing with a 5 then 7GPH nozzles soon. The 600whp target seems a little more achievable at the reef.

On a side note my HPFP will need to be changed soon. It runs fine at 500whp but starts to suffer above that.

What fuel mix were you running bud? 560 WHP is insane!!! Have you replaced LPFP yet?

30% eth. Nf ultra. Yup put the walbro 450 in. LPFP logs look much better now. Just need to sort out the HPFP

What mix of water / meth are you running? Are you logging AFR's on each run?

Thanks bro.
50/50 water/meth. Now back on a 10ghp nozzle. The plan is to add another meth nozzle to help with fueling and temp reduction.

The AFR's are looking great. Still in the 11's and rarely jumps to 12.2 on WOT.

Nope. We are using our own flash with some of the BMS changes copied over. The original BMS caused a few issues.

The car now has over 10000km on the big turbo kit.
Everything is going well. We are focusing on just one more power mod. I will update with the details as soon as the development is done.

Had a run with a GTR from 120 to about 280. Gave him about 2 light poles.
I had the JB mobile app running so I did manage to get a log of the event.

PWM is low and stable @ 20psi with only 6degree maximum timing advance? The rest of fueling looks decent too. Looks to be ready for more boost and timing as is (assuming the HPFP can keep up)

It was on my daily map. I can run 27psi safely with a little more octane but I am bedding in my brakes so not pushing too hard.

Nice run with the GTR, your car is very strong :clapper:

I am trying to understand the "bedding in brakes" part.
Is it Because braking from 280km/h is easier on the pads at 20psi than 27psi thats why you dont run high boost when putting new pads?

Please help me as i will be putting new pads on my car soon and wouldnt want the boost to impact the bedding in process :ty:

If I'm not mistaken the first few 100 kms you need to take it easy so that the pad and disc mate properly before you start the full on bedding process.

Only a pleasure to help out a fanatic in need:rollsmile:

I started the bedding procedure about 10 days ago. I know myself well so I needed a fail safe when the need for speed comes over me. I took advantage of the option to disable the steering wheel controls for facilitate this. At first I started on the lowest map and gradually progressed to the next map when my confidence in the new brakes increased. So I started with 12psi and I was up to 20psi for that run. Currently I am on 23psi. The difference from 20psi to 27psi is that I would have reached +-310km/h (I don't think its possible to go faster with a manual gearbox and stock diff) in even less time it took me to do 280. So far I am fairly impressed with the EBC discs and pads. I may look at a 6 pot caliper upgrade if I need more stopping power.

I dont know about you guys - but i think this bedding procedure is incorrect - i will attach the procedure for my cool carbon pads.

before this you need to SEAT the pads to the disk you will know they are seated when the pad makes contact all the way around on the disk... simple way to check is to spray the disks with water and let surface rust form then go for a short drive... if the disk surface is polished clean again they are ready to bed in as above :)

the function of the bed in procedure is the bake the pad for high stress use this is not really critical for most street cars and why you only see this kind of info on performance pad
