N54 Big Turbo Build

Thank you guys.

The main reason I decided to go down this road is to promote local talent. I think the RB, Vargas, Pure etc are brilliant options but with no dedicate (at least to my knowledge) support. It leaves you wanting. The next avenue I want to explore is Port injection. I know BMS and Motiv have kits already but I going have this made locally. We have plenty options locally, Budler, SAV, Full Boost who in my opinion have more than the required skill to pull it off. The only components that are not made locally are those where we have no other competitive option manufactured locally i.e. JB4.

A big thank you to Leon and his team at FR&R for not giving up on the build despite all the set backs they have encountered. Leon has indicated this kit will be available to both N54 and N55. These kits will take a stock car to 500whp with headroom for more. The manifold will undergo one or two more revisions to try and help the spool up before the kit going retail.

I will keep you posted with the progress as it happens. I may be attending the VW dyno day at KAR on Saterday if I get a gap.

If he needs an N55 to play with, I definitely know of one....

The build has been put on hold for a little while. I need to recover from the additional expense

I did manage to get my tablet to use the JB4 android app.
Impressed so far. No need to carry my heavy laptop around anymore!

:praise:
Hellishly impressive.
I love how it peaks at a decent rpm, not like these tiny little stock snails!
Sounds so damn mean!

At long last the Meth Kit is going in.
Using the JB FSB to control the Meth flow.
But before I do that the car is going to be stripped and the manifold and turbo exhaust housing will be ceramic coated.

Still need to fit a LPFP and upgrade the oil cooler then I'm going to start work on the suspension and then the drive train.

Controlling the Meth with the JB4, will you be able to run Meth in any map or only map 3?

Just Map3. Might be possible to run it on the other maps. Really not sure. But I don't see a need for it bro.

Using the FSB and various JB4 settings, the meth can be sprayed on diffferent maps with different paramenters. please refer to your tuner for further details...

As far as I remember there were 3 options

1) map 3 only
2) Map 3,6 and 7
3) all maps

its one of the FU options on the jb interface

The car is currently in for some cosmetic repair. Some clown nudge me in a parking lot and cracked the front fender :RedNo: Didnt even bother to stick around.

The front fender is being replaced and painted. Once the car is out the Meth kit and LPFP is going in.
I'm hoping this adds a few more ponies.
My power goal at the reef is 600whp.
I think with Meth, Fuel pump, Exhaust I may get very close(Considering i made 536whp on 20psi). If not then I will have to go for port injection.
