That's an epic delivery.

Going to be very busy in the coming weeks. Looking forward to the future updates. One of my favourite M Cars.

Another update:

Some goodies arrived today!

ZHP weighted shift knob (yoh can't wait to feel this on the M5, it's lovely)

E60 OEM shift lever - basically an OEM short shifter kit for the E39

Turner Motorsport Poly shifter arm bushing

OEM shifter ball bushing

5mm ECS Tuning wheel spacers X4
With extended wheel bolts

Having 2 sets of style 65's, I'm going to run a square setup setup of wides on all 4 corners of the car, more front end grip, less understeer, better look/aesthetics.
The 5mm spacers in the front are to make sure the wheel and 275 35 R18 tire clear the strut spring perch. At the rear its just to make everything square and look good!
Hope there is no rubbing, but from what I have read up it should all be good!

Hoping to get the car started again tomorrow with a new Starter Relay...🤞🤞🤞

This looks awesome...i am also looking to get a short shifter "kit" for mine do you mind sharing more details please...also I called BMW to find a quote on timing kit: chains and guides and this is what I got:

Upper: chain and two tensioners: R8824

Lower: Tensioner chain and 3 guides R13 465

Where else can i look or should i just go with it?
I have a donor car but i do not want to use the used parts...

Try Imcomex, they had SWAG kits in stock at some time, not the best quality, but also not the worst.

The short shifter kit is basically just an E60 Manual shifter which slots right into the E39 and has a shorter throw. Quite a common upgrade for the E39.

I will have a look and let you know what I was quoted for the timing chain parts.

So,
It's been quite a while since my last confession...

But I'm still cracking on! Don't you worry!:D

Been doing quite a bit over the last little while, but still so much further to go, but here it is:

First step after stripping down the intake system for cleaning was installing 8X New OEM from BMW Spark Plugs, torqued down to factory spec:
