Thanks guys! :ty:

I have an insane passion for cars! And admire the term "Real Petrolhead"

I have a question, did they at least put vented discs at the back or did VW leave the solid discs at the back? All the GTi's have solid discs at the back from the factory.

My 1M has 360mm discs up front and 350mm at the back. Drilled and ventilated semi-floating.

The fronts are 350mm (Sorry I thought they were 330...) and the rears are 310mm vented (Not solid)

They are not drilled though. I may look at a nice set of high performance drilled/slotted discs as an upgrade.

That is a huge upgrade from the GTi brakes!

The VW dealerships are not really full of crap when it comes to replacing parts under warranty. Some of the okes in the VW Club have gotten away with murder. Lol!

I guess if you pop your motor you may have a problem, but common engine bay parts, like water pump, alternator, turbo, suspension parts and even the DSG clutches are not really an issue.

In anyways, my car is on 1700kms now and I only gun her when the oil temp as reached 85 degrees... You also cannot over rev these motors cause the DSG will shift to the next gear for you. Even in manual mode.

It looks so damn mean from the front, especially in white. If it were me I would drop it slightly and paint the rims gloss black to match the wing mirrors - but that's just the boy racer in me.

I think the wheels in gloss black will look awesome... will go well with the storm trooper thing going on there...

Thanks guys!

Lowering and a cosmetic here and there are in the cards...

I'm really not a lover of black rims though...

Thought of giving it a possible gunmetal/charcoal colour similar to the Audi RS3's wheel...

I agree, almost like the E39 M5 wheel.
