nothing special, 215-45-17 rears and 215-40-17 fronts.

Some good pictures of my newly painted wheels, i had an idea to paint the hub dust caps gold which imo would really set the look of the wheels off but not sure anyhow they are staying like this now lol.

Got a pot of gloss black paint and artists brush and painted my wheel bolts.

Presentation is important, so those horrible cam cover bolts were all brown and rusty and horrible so i went round with some silver touch up paint and artist brush in hand and ended up with this.

Thought i would take some better shots for the magazine and this is what i came up with.

3rd and last one i took with the trailer best ive taken.

Was bored so went out took some random shots and not number plate not moved as it wont stick to the plastic of that trim but getting new ones anyhow so dont matter for the moment.

Right this will be the last update for a while giving it a rest done my standard mouldings gloss black, hope you like.

Had a look at a few other black wheel on silver examples and thought fuck it looks tidier rather than mish mash wheels.

And no this time i didnt use tape, i put the tape on primed, painted over the tape and then removed when it was dry.

ooh and a pipercross air filter i got off ebay better throttle response but thats about it.

Short shifter gangster lean fix

I used to hate the lop sided shifter that used to lean to one side.

ie like so.

so heres my fix, slide some rubber pipe over your rod (mind the tape its there to stop the metal gear knob creaking)

then the rubber cover

and no more gangster lean

Even goes back to the middle

decided to redo the steering wheel carbon and laquer over the top, much better job nice and tight and looks miles better.

Great mods.

I cant make up my mind of which wheel colour combo i liked most.


this car is so awesome.


Another indication that we dont get all the good stuff in this country. So sad.

Wont that carbon fibre stuff mess with the airbag deploying? Doesnt the airbag blow through the middle of the steering wheel cover or does it hinge up to allow the airbag out? I know the passenger side one allows the airbag to blow through it.

@L-C-G I think so but when that happens or if it does then just redo it its not expensive.


I've been busy, 1st i hated the dinted nose cone so replaced with a smooth non headlight washer one.

Re-glossed my kidney grilles, mind the grilles they are a little bent need adjusting.

re-done my rear bumper so happy with the match from a premixed can.
