Jip Cheeper then flywheel and get this he said no Aftermarket parts anywhere on the Gearbox or Clutch so no LUK Clutchkit and or Fly wheel only originals he had to many Issues with the aftermarket parts.

Cost Estimate roughly with vat and Labor 6.6K

That is still cheaper than a flywheel.

is it not usually done together?

Only if there is excessive wear on the flywheel.

Last time I had it done on my 325i, BMW only did the clutch plate, pressure plate and thrust bearing. Flywheel was still 100%. Almost no wear.

My flywheel was warped that's why it was eating clutches.. 6.6k for OEM seems fair...

My flywheel was burnt that's why it was eating clutches.. 6.6k for OEM seems fair...

But I will only know once they start and the Gearbox is out that the Flywheel is ok or Not I hope its ok otherwise i need to go draw money at 2 in the morning :fencelook:

if it's not shuddering it should be okay, when my clutches died it wasn't nearly as bad as when the flywheel went.. like I said mine was not drivable it was shaking the diff and the car was shuddering badly...

But for all that effort, he might as well replace the clutch as well.

Dippies, they can skim the flywheel if they have to and if there is no excessive wear.

My pops had the duel mass and clutch kit replaced on hiz e46, cost 14k.
SA warranties covered 7k. :thumbs:

I paid R7 848 for this at a BMW dealer a year a go.
