Thanks for the kind words gents.

Just a small update with some general maintenance work done.

Fixed the driver's window button. One of the little loops that is tilts on broke off so I made a plan with some thin aluminium sheet:

Driver's window lifter started to show signs of packing up, so I replaced it:

Found a crack in the pipe that goes to the ICV:

So I replaced all the intake pipes from the MAF to the throttle for good measure:

And I changed the VANOS seals, and all the rubber seals on the tappet cover, nothing was leaking but just changed it for good measure:

Gave the motor a good clean after doing the VANOS seals:

Also changed the oil, oil filter and air filter while I was doing the VANOS seals. This would be the 5th oil service in the 3+ years that I have had the car....I have now service the car more times that it was under motorplan.

Oh and just out of interest, I don't think I have posted this before, the x-pipe that van der linde systems built for me when they did my exhaust:

I must say the VDL exhaust is very well made they even sleeved the welds to make sure there is no penetration into the exhaust...
