Kwaai Nasser raise: we use to skut in the late 80's early 90's exactly the same colour and model 1.3GL Corolla.It was my buddy's car and wait for it,his name was also Nasser.I on the other hand had "slanty" 1.3L panel van.Looking at these pics brings lots of nostalgia.Many times we would drag the sedan against the panel van and the van always came out tops due to the power to weight difference.This takes me way,way back,shukr for sharing the awesome build :thumbs:

turned the boost up to 1bar and ran the car on avgas
car made 222kw and 293nm on the WHEELS will drive her tomorrow and report back

did one run @ 1.1bar car made 231kw and 305nm on the wheels
turned it back down to 1bar
boost controller seems to have made a big difference
will post graph tomorrow

quite happy with the results

so we tried again..... jody managed to get the boost to hold at 1.4bar
just after that this happened

propshaft sheered in half at 8000rpm @1.4bar we nearly kakked ourselves

but 4A-GE FTW :rollsmile::rollsmile:

so now the race is on to get the car fixed, tuned and ready to race on saturday

so yesterday was a rush to get the car fixed after the propshaft fucked out
sent it to WG propshafts 7.30am yesterday morning prop was ready at 3pm
replaced fuel lines and brakes lines
started her up and i wasnt getting clutch after bleeding the clutch and making a mcguyver on the clutch pedal i was finally able to select gears...... this was at 9pm!!!! i phone jody who is at home, he agrees to open up his workshop and start tuning my car at 9.20pm

and we get going, first run i was so kak nervous that something was going to break LOL

but anyway we got the VVT working and upped the boost to 1.4bar which it was holding

and this was the result
304kw and it looks like it was still climbing but i didn't the nerve to rev it to 8500rpm

thought i'd share some results and vids from saldanha drags this past weekend

Saldnaha results
1st run with semi's
vs a worked lumina
Got a decent launch, hit 2nd gear get really sideways, tapped off then put down again managed a 210.5km

2nd run vs a nissan gtr
Decided to fit the hoosiers got a decent launch hit 2nd gear without any drama run felt really good, crossed the line at 8200rpm in 4th gear. Speed was 220.9km

3rd run vs 2jz lexus
Get a leka launch, granny shift into 2nd to avoid any drama run felt good cross the line limiting 4th again
Not sure what the speed was some people heard 215 others 226 i left before they put the results up
I think it was 215 though will wait for official results
