i have been doing some reaserch and the evolve system is the most stable and safe, i believe that to get enough power and break the 500whp (thats the aim) does not only requrie uping the boost, alot of other factors like IAT, timming comes into play.

Being a 1M, the car is built for the track. 1Ms shine on the track. its all well and good going for straight line speed but what happens than in the corners. I suppose than you going to have alot of body roll and and wheel spin. The evolve system takes every aspect of the car into consideration, however a good quarter mile time is always a strong point on the car.

I guess its all about balance. From my understanding a flash tune can only take the care to a maximum of 400bhp and piggy backs can go way further. But one problem with piggybacks is its reliability. it has PMS problems.

Another aspect is that with certain tunes the ///M button on the steering becomes null and void and i would still like the functionality of it even with a tune.

For all you boosted guys out there, P3 cars has a group buy on at the moment, saving = 105$, i just got one. PM me and i will give you the group buy code, if it still works

Great value for money as it has all the functionality of a performance steering wheel plus it can delete codes. total cost shipped to RSA = 350$ normal price around 500$. best bang for buck mod.

Been on the track with the 1M on a HOT day, running the car full-on for a number of laps with no heat-soak to even mention! :praise:

that is awesome :praise:

with all that money being spent, though, why did not not go with KW's instead of H&R kit??

i have just seen on the net there is an eletronically adjustable coil over using ur I Phone, wow that would be cool.

To be honest i am thinking about coil overs but i have a budget, and coilovers will be around 20k, but if my head turns i night just do it.

Heat soak,hmmmm....... i thought about it esp since it uses the same intercooler as the 135i :argh:. 1M only has a better oil cooler, something similiar to the Pkk system on the 135i upgrade.

i would rather cut budget from the exhaust or use the stock rims than skimp on suspension the gain is little on those two items... the stock rims are awesome anyway

1. Piggybacks = PMS (Not true)

2. Chip = 400bhp (Not true)

3. ///M button null & void (Not true)

4. The evolve system takes every aspect of the car into consideration, however a good quarter mile time is always a strong point on the car. (The JB4 piggyback does the same and much more)

5. Great value for money as it has all the functionality of a performance steering wheel plus it can delete codes. (The piggyback does all that and its a proven tune for the N54 platform.)

6. I have been doing some reaserch and the evolve system is the most stable and safe, i believe that to get enough power and break the 500whp (thats the aim) does not only requrie uping the boost, alot of other factors like IAT, timming comes into play. (Piggyback tunes have already produced this power on the stock turbos and now even more with upgraded turbos)

The most important point to remember in building your 1M project. The car has the exact same engine as in all the other N54s...there is nothing new about the motor. So those of us that have owned the N54 motor since 2006 can assist you with a whole lot of things right here on fanatics.

JB4 with cps and speed limiter removal works wonders and is the most comprehensive steering intergrated system in the world. Without FBO and Meth you will never see 500rwhp. No heat soak issues on track yet high temps will restrict you. ER comp FMIC takes care of this very nicely.Excessive boost. I will post my track car build very soon just waiting for my wagon to come back from Etienne van der Linde. Watch this space all the above has been answered by timeous data logging and telemetry and not by thumbsucking or Google.

my P3 gauge gives all the readings in digital so the steering functions are not relevant, i have experianced jb4 already, and to me.

Well i think you got it wrong twinz, Terry himself has said, that the JB4 will ignore the 1m tune and the m button will become null and void. Bascially the car will run like a tuned 135i, they both make the same amount of power. Check your facts. see the link for the proof.

http://n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12780

Below is the words from terry :
"The JB4 will ignore the OEM tuning and run it like any normal N54. Do some logs in map 4 and email them in and I can confirm if the 1M tuning is similar to the 335is."

But none the less watch how i will make 500rwhp, with STCOK TURBOS
