My 2015 F30 320i Build Thread

Howzit Fanatics.

I unfortunately had a run in with a circle with my E82 120D Coupe.
I got out of the vehicle with only a few scratches and bruises. Truly a testament of the safety of these vehicles. I do not think I would have been so lucky if I was still driving my old citi golf.

I am planning to do some visual mods and a few performance mods. I will try and document the complete build on the forum.

I know these N20 engine can be finicky so I am starting with a downpipe (still to be installed) and a mild stage 1 tune. Will probably be using ATM as they did my E82 and I was happy with the gains and reliability.

Future performance mods will be:

• Aluminium charge pipe.
• Intake.
• Dual exhaust.
• Stage 2 software

Future visual mods will be:

• Double slat kidney grill.
• Boot spoiler.
• Front lip spoiler.
• New wheels.
• Mirror covers.
• Inner grill rod cover.

I am still not completely sold on the visual mods as I think these cars look amazing as is. But I am hoping to get some inspiration from the forum.

Congrats on the 320i. Perhaps before starting any mods have all the common faults and failures (Timing chain etc.) on the N20 motor inspected and done.

Personally wouldn't advise any serious mods other than a mild map and downpipe as you do not want to make an already unreliable motor more prone to failure.

The circle is located close to a river. I believe the architect thought it was a good idea to cast the whole inside of the circle with the river boulders for aesthetic purposes. But the boulders then functioned as a cheese grater to my car.
