Getting the filter this afternoon, and some Mobil 1 0w40 oil. I've read up on Mobil 1 and similar finding to yours. Car runs cooler, and for street use, the "thinner" oil works a charm.
Seems really easy to change oil. Thanks a mil!

I got it from an Engen I always drive past. It's R675 for the 4l container. They didn't have any 1l and got that one at Auto Zone. R185 for 1l. R730 for 4l at Autozone.Ratslaaf said:

Did oil on the ///M6 on Good Friday... Wow, I think I'm loving the 0W40 oil. It's quicker to temperature, and after a bit of spirited driving, it cools down soooo much quicker than 10W60. I agree that it generally runs cooler by around 10 degrees.
I drained the old oil and I want to send it in for analysis. Do you guys know where I can do this? I got 2 samples, from the sump and from the filter.

I hope insurance covers animal attack... there must be some deep scratches there that will not polish out
