Good day all

Yesterday I added a CF boot spoiler. Now considering going for the full CF kit or wrap/dip current stuff in CF.

Really love the look of the spoiler

Given the issues on my 981 Cayman S, I have spent some time looking through Autotrader for slightly used Supras for the fun of it. Still priced a bit high for my budget though. Will be keen to hear your experiences on driving the car in the wet - is it very tail happy at moderate speeds?

Hey Mr_Y

My 5 months with this car has been nothing short of superb. I’m still working from home so only done over 3000 kms, with it mostly being short runs. I look for any reason to drive the car, and even just cruising without going into sport mode or driving in manual, for some reason it still feel special.
It’s not without its faults, like the wind buffeting, thin cheapish steering and even with the JBL sound system, it’s kak.

But I cannot fault it for the driving dynamics and that pearl of a B58 engine and ZF box. Proven to be a great daily thus far.

In terms of the wet weather driving, went on a breakfast run and it happened to be raining. With normal driving, not tail happy at all and quite competent. Spirited driving in sport mode and taking off aggressively in the wet, there was some tail action, albeit for a second and then all good. Never felt ‘scared’ to push it in the wet within limits of course.

So far, with all my previous history of cars, this by far has been the best experience of them all.

The pricing has stabilised in the last few months as more demand has been created and I only expect it to hold its price even more as the demand will most likely increase. After 5 months, I’m in the position to make a profit close to 80k, but even then I will not sell.

PM if you really keen on a Supra and I can help you find one (hopefully within your budget) as we have a great group of guys that knows of some hidden gems still out there.

Can you get these serviced at any Toyota dealer or are there specific dealers you need to use? - similar to Nissan and GTR servicing.

Mr_Y

You can get these serviced at any Toyota dealer. I cannot give you my personal experience at this stage but from what I heard, some dealers also have specific Surpa technicians. These are folk who apparently, have some sort of specialised training.

This weekend I kind of broke one of my own rules and went to a car wash. A friend of mine moved his car wash to new premises and I decided to give it a try.

They only use Mothers products and was refreshing to see use of the two bucket method.
I was barking orders as if though I owned the place but at the end of it was quite pleased with the quality of work.
