Thanks bud.

Ill fit once i have dyno'd and logged with current setup.
Want proof of both setups.

Also read mixed reviews. But a lot of poeple have made extra HP. It has to because of more airflow. I haven't heard of anyone i know that has had errors with this intake. Overseas threads i read about the error. I have JB4 so im good :=):

Burger tuning wouldn't just release an intake that does not work as their name is on the line. But in saying that there is the heat soak issue as the top of the filter is not enclosed. Nice thing is you use the stock bottom part of the airbox with the ram tubes from the grille still attached for the cool air to come through. I have some ideas to utilise this intake with some custom changes that will work. Trick is to keep the hot air out

Proof will be the results after logging.

Awesome car

:praise:

Also heat soak is directly related to the efficiency of the intercooler, which on the M135i is very very good.

Lets say the inlet causes a rise in intake temps of +30 degrees, then the turbocharger compresses this air and it rises to 60 degrees, if the intercooler drops the temperature of the charge air so that it reaches the inlet at 20 degrees, it doesn't make any difference.

Its the back to back testing of the charge air temperature after the intercooler that is important, not the temperature at the filter.

My Opinion : Simple solution to heatsoak. Get ER chargepipe and if cooling is your only target run the bms meth kit with only water in the tank. If you want some more performance add methanol. The spraying really makes a big difference in iat's in all environments and settings (warm/cold weather,road/track).

Yesterday I went past Fuzz's place to detail my cars paint.

Not that it was scratched but to brighten it up a bit and protect the paint
Took about 5 hours. I have big respect for detailing now
I helped with the detail and learnt plenty from it :cartel:

Big thanks to Fuzz and his brothers for the help  Anyone needing a decent detail call on Clean Car Technologies :clapper:

A bit of info with the detail:

We did a gloss enhancement, with a view of correcting the car at a later date.

We used Auto Finesse Triple, topped with Auto Finesse Essence wax.

Machines we used:

Flex 3401 DA
Rupes BigFoot 15es DA

Took some pics:

Before we started:

Plenty of foam:

Some iron out:

Fuzz using a clay mit:

Drying of the car:

Polish done by machine:

Polish removed:

We then applied wax to seal the paint.

Wheel sealant was used as well.

Finished product:

Old VS New.

Old one had JB4, DP and intake.
New one JB4 and DP :cartel:

Both had same octane.

A difference of 21.7wkw :cartel:
