My new daily drive.:excited: , but not for long.:bawling:

The GTI is at the panel shop for some R&R, so for the next week, I am driving the E30.

Unfortunately the car stands outside most of it's life, so there is tons to be done. The dash started cracking, and the leather has cracked. The paintwork needs some of Freerider's special care. Other than that, she is all good. 1987 model with 160k on the clock. The original red from BMW saw it's gat after only 7 years, so this coat of paint was applied in 1995 or so.

Hi Jandre

You have the same year car as my E30...1987 320I :). She looks in great condition. Is yours the 325I?
Shame that I have to sell mine soon :(

The E30 belongs to my mom. She got it new in 1987.

It recently had some oil leaks, and a leaky manifold gasket. So the head came off, fully refurbished, fixed up the crack on the exhaust manifold, reconditioned the front suspension, so the car is good. Next on the recondition list is the interior.

Don't think they will ever sell that car, so it's become a labour of love for the old man.
9 times out of 10 it's just the two of them, and he has the E90, so the E30 is just there for the odd drive.

And what do you get for that car? 20k, 25k maybe?

I think my old man gets a kick out of refurbishing the old gal to former glory.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on the car, but doubt it will happen any time soon.

Seems the old gal might be coming my way soon. My dad is looking at buying my mom a new car, and he offered the e30 to me.

My mom had her from day one, back in 1987. Obviously I have some work to do on her. The interior is priority.

Looking forward to playing around with her.
