My easiest DIY fix ever!

So I was on a "study break" so I'd thought I clean out the boot of my car since it had been raining the previous day and water always seeps through and into the boot.

Busy wiping away all the water, taking the boot mat out and letting it dry in the sun...then I remembered that my fuel door actuator (basically on the fuel door there's a lock [metal pin] that goes into the fuel door and locks it ) was not working ever since I can remember.

Different model one but same principle:

What I do? loosened the two bolts, disconnected the wire, played with the actuator itself (pulling and pushing :mmm: ) and then reconnected it. went to go lock the doors....and voila! it works again!

So you just played with the wire thingy and it worked later ? :roflol::roflol:
Do you get water in the boot after you wash the car and open the boot ? Just washed the 540i and have taken out the bootlid lining and will take lights out and check seals tomorrow ( weather permitting )
