Now thats a timeless look :blowheart:
17's are perfect for an E46 in my view... 18's max, anything bigger and it looks hideous.

I agree with the 68's being the rim for the e46 - its just perfect. I wanted to find out at one stage if someone could copy/manufacture the rim but as an 18' and perhaps half an inch wider - that would of looked amazing!! never got round to doing that though!

Who would you have asked? I would also be interested to know if someone can do it.:coolShake:

I think a narrow and wides 18" style 68 would be the holy grail

If you put in Google, only this wheel comes up ...haahah :coolShake::skit:
I seen a set recently that has been high polished ( the whole rim)
Looks nice IMO and wouldn't mid doing it to mine now that I have it spare....wonder what it would cost though
Changes the whole look :chef:

I was quoted R750 per wheel to widen my 68's, not by much though. The guy I went to (Wheelcrafters in KZN) said they couldn't be widened much on the visible side, for strength reasons, but I could widen the inner dish as much as I needed to (for wider rubber etc) so I chose not to do it. Stepping a set to 18" is also out of the question for the same reason.

Good call bud. I was tempted to do that a few years ago but wasnt convinced about the strength or weakness of the rim afterwards.

The 68's are nice wheels, but a bugger to clean! LOL

On the E46 17" is for me the ideal size, 18 is the absolute maximum, and then it has to be the right style especially to work with the car's look. On the E90, 18" is ideally the size to have, 19" max, 20 " starts to look a bit over the top for me. Smaller than 17" is just (where's that bent pinky smiley)...

A buddy starts the 330 once a week without any hassle but tonight.... The car wont start just the clicking sound but with the headlights flickering in the off position, Hmmm strange.

Anyone experience this or any ideas?

Thanks

Ok, cos my 330 battery was changed for the first time in12 years, 4 Months ago....

On my 540I I had the similar problem due to it running like only once or twice a day. Took it to battery center, they serviced the battery and charged it, and that fixed the problem.

So here is your 2 alternatives :coolShake:

Agreed with Yuben. Have your battery charged/serviced or replaced, should be fine. The battery has probably died because simply starting the car and idling it isn't allowing the alternator to charge the battery much.

My car does that when the battery is dead or very lower on charge , no amount of turning will start it. Remember just starting the car uses up a lot of battery charge which needs to be replenished by the alternator. And if it's not idled for a while or taken for a spin it won't recharge enough to start after a few starts.

Just to report back on the battery issue. The car was taken to battery centre and they told me the same thing that she needs to be driven.

She's all good:cartel:
