I agree 100% but my issue is not with SAV or any other tuner! SAV did my vanos on my car and he did a excellent job!
But boetie budler gave me so much advice for free! Listening to him i got my car from running 13.9 with semi slicks to running a 13.6 with street tyres!

For that reason i would rater support Budler motorsport coz its more than just a tune up or service!
There must be a very good reason boetie said he does not recondition that engine!
Maybe its cheaper and better just to buy an import! But i dont understand why he will make a comment like that and not give an alternative!

I can maybe asnwer that question.

over the years I have been to many tuners and mechanics and panel beaters etc etc, and one thing I have come to realize is that money talks, if you go to a tuner and ask him can you do this that and all the rest but come there with the attitude of jsut asking info then you get a whole bunch of different answers and they will vary on what type of day the guy is having.

But

Go to the same guy with money in your pocket and and ask him the same question and he can see your serious about parting with your money and getting something done then the guy will suddenly be able to do anything to your car. It's highly annoying but I guess they get asked these silly things on a daily basis by people who are just asking out of curiosity and the guy knows that person will never be a serious customer.

Now this does not contradict with what I said about Sav speed earlier, Sav speed was just not being very helpfull over the phone as I was very serious I wanted to turbo my 325i or get the M conversion that he offers but I wanted a bit more info on the two builds I wanted to know what parts he would use or how long it would take etc etc and all he could say was come see me with your car...I don't like that, however I have seen two of sav speeds turbo conversions and driven in one and all I can say is :dropjaw: so I know the guy is good I just wish he was a bit more helpful.

Good Evening

Thread resurrection... My car is really putting me through a lot this week :blueCry:

So my tank was low on the freeway and I pushed it to the nearest garage and filled it up & give it some time to settle... on start up the idle was terrible and it was a bit rough & I’m guessing it was still letting the petrol flow I guess, I switched it off and chilled a bit... I then started it up again and the idle was a bit better... on the freeway I was pushing the gas and it started vibrating as I got 3000 rpm and it seemed like it would downshift and I did some more driving in my area and it still vibrates hard the more I push the pedal...

My question could the fuel filter or fuel pump be damaged ?

What at @AdiS said pretty much.

That said, since you did let it run empty, there is a chance some extra dirt went into the filter. Out of interest sake, when was the last time you replaced the fuel filter?

Could be fuel pump or failing/failed coil pack.

Will get those checked out on the weekend, thank you.

Late 2016 but I didn’t drive the car 2017 and 2018 only probably drived it about 7 times within those two years.
