Wow, you are lucky! When I bought the car it had a misfire and was getting 23. Had the repairs done and now getting the more acceptable 18. Even only got 13 on my e60 530i.

Thing is though, I start her in the morning, climb on the highway, drive 30 km, get off, and pretty much park. Rinse and repeat in the afternoon

I hardly have traffic and I drive to avoid the traffic, if that means staying at the office until 8pm some evenings, so be it.

However, in town driving, im getting closer to the figures that you claim.

THis 65L thing annoys me though, I have been used to 90L for so long, that it bugs me. The 540 I used to fill up once a week when I was using it daily, the E39 I have to do almost twice a week sometimes..... I know its costing me less bla bla bla, but that phycological barrier erks me....

Ok, that puts it a bit more into perspective. Mine is all stop start town driving. To prevent it from killing my motor, I try to take the car for a at least 50km nice run once a month. The consumption drops to about 17.6 on that run.

Heavy, mine averages 18L/100k's. But it's such an entertaining drive, the high liquid consumption is worth it.
