Anybody tried the Bridgestone MY-01? At R1100 a tyre, it's tough to overlook.
Have them on my 17' rims. Pretty good, not as silent as the michellins.

These are definitely the best, however if it's "bang for buck", then I would consider the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3.

I agree on the Goodyear tyres
My all time favorite tyre this

Update: Replaced fuel-filter

What brand did you use?

Think it was LPR

So decided to go with Michelin Pilot Sport 4's as recommended by some of you guys and many of the reviews online indicating that it's a great performing tyre.

Will provide feedback after a month or two of driving...

Painting my chrome window trim black, but refitting the upper window trim has been rather difficult. I need to go buy new clips from BMW...

Does anybody know how these clips are supposed to be fitted and how to reinstall the upper window trim on an E46 sedan?

If you were planning to ask, car is not lowered, it's just sitting on an uneven surface:biglol:

Just did the "02 Pilot Mod", will see if it reduces my oil consumption (Not that it's bad at the moment, but just out of curiosity).

P.s. You need hands the size of an 11 year old Chinese girl to perform this mod!

Have replaced rear shocks with OEM Bilstein replacements from Goldwagen.

About R1200 for the pair. I bought new rear shock mounts as well, thought I might as well get it done while I'm in there.

For those looking to do the job DIY, it's as easy as piss. The hardest part is taking apart and reinstalling the trunk liner in the boot.

Rear shocks can be difficult to diagnose, I went to HiQ Dastek to perform a shock test on their vibration machine and the test performed reported that my shocks were still within spec. However, after removing my old shocks I can say with confidence that they were certainly non-functional.

Less pronounced gas-strut noise coming from the rear and better ride-height maintenance after installing the new units. An easy and fairly inexpensive DIY, I strongly recommend.

I actually need to go buy these clips, do you have a part number or link to an article that covers this?

Purchased a full gloss black set (including mirror housings, B pillars and C pillar trim) and need to install on mine.

Awesome! Will definitely do the rear ones myself when the time comes.

Is the front OEM also Bilstein?
