Nice. Looking good! Feel any different?

Yep, car is a lot smoother on idle and through the rev range. I won't be able to tell whether there is any fuel economy gain as my driving style and frequency doesn't allow for that test.

I also did an oil service this past weekend purely as preventative maintenance. Will be checking other items such as plugs etc this weekend as well.

I swopped out my OEM bonnet some time ago for an aftermarket one that came off another fanatics car and was in black. I left it like that for quiet some time and recently decided the time was right to get it done the way I had intended from the onset. I sent the car to Ultimate Cars in Prospecton and they did an excellent overall job by spraying the bonnet, getting my mirror caps changed from gloss black to Alpine White, fitting the performance boot spoiler and giving the car a polish. I was very pleased with the outcome. At this point the car was fitted with the OEM 19” wheels and that just didn’t have the same effect as my aftermarket 20” wheels.

These 20” wheels are heavy and a major PITA to keep clean but it definitely makes the car stand out in a crowd and otherwise. So I sent the car to Detail Driven for the first installment of my plan for some attention which included deep cleaning the wheel wells and suspension bits in those areas, decontamination / cleaning and coating / sealing of the wheels with a ceramic coating, inspection and light polish of the car as well as interior cleanup. The results are outstanding and I’m eager to get the car back there for the next installment but that will have to wait for the first quarter of 2018. Here’s some pics that were snapped by Firoze at Detail Driven when I fetched the car.

The front bumper needs some minor alignment / adjustment so will attend to that soon.

Looking Great Prevs...... maybe some decals......stripes ?

Thanks Yegs. I had some decals on the car but had them removed during the polishing. I like the clean look and lines of the car. I have a few other ideas to work towards which will hopefully add to the aesthetic appeal of the car.

After having this car for close to 10 years now, I still find myself looking at her and thinking of how beautiful she looks.

I did a few enhancements recently (not all visible in these pics)

Prev comes back from the dead

Good to see you still have it and haven't stopped modding.

Eager to hear about the headlights.

I have been acquiring a lot of parts over a period of time (from as far back as pre covid) and have not had the time to fit them - my office started looking like a parts mini warehouse. I recently decided to put some of the stuff on and the headlights were part of the plan. Although not a complicated job, it is a major pita to upgrade the headlights and it took a significant amount of time. I am not usually very delicate when working on stuff like that but thankfully with a bit of help managed to work through the process. The "rings" are the Bimmer Jakes iconic kit which is a straight fit with no cutting or trimming of the shrouds and is a good quality kit imo. The "demon eyes" is from a kit of Amazon and works very well via Bluetooth / cellphone app. I replaced the headlight lenses and indicators as well with set off Amazon. The hexagons on the projectors were also done after stripping the lights. The chrome / silver bits were painted satin black.
