So jacked up the car to inspect everything as i had knocks on the front and back.

Propshaft looks okay but apparently needs replacing. Will need to remove exhaust and covers to confirm.

Guibo or the propshaft? Propshaft goes for anything between R10 000.00 to R13 000.00. Wont do propshft now. Too much money

You sure that leak is coming form the gearbox drainplug? From the pic it look more like it is coming from the front....if it does it could be the rear main seal or the gearbox input shaft seal. Did you check whether it is engine oil or gearbox oil?

The oil under the engine might be coming from the oil filter housing or the possibly the sump gasket.

Best in this case it to give everything a good clean then have a look where the oil is leaking from.

Can't really tell anything about the prop by just looking looking at it unless there is obvious physical damage to it....why does who say it need to be replaced?

Yes im about 63.4% sure its coming from that plug but i am going to clean everything. I have a new gasket for the oil filter housing but i am waiting a bit so i can do a oil change the same time i do the gasket.

It also looks fine to me. Aparantely theres play in the propshaft and although its not noticeable now they tell me it will probably wear out soon.

Theres a hard knock at the back everytime i go over a bump so i take it its the diff bush

"Small" update

For about 4+ years I have been undecided on getting 18 inch rims for the car. I turned down various opportunities but decided to take the plunge.

I looked at 193's and Ellipsoids and got a shout from Yuben saying that he is willing to part with his Ellipsoids as he knew how desperately I was looking for a set. What a legend. Even arranged shipping with moranor, another huge legend.

In the end and after crunching the numbers I found a deal that would work out better in the long run (cost wise). Contacted Zabbo who went out of his way to make time for me to view the rims. Thank you very much for your great hospitality and effort Zabbo!

So finally, after 4+ years, fitted my 18 inch rims.

(Sorry for the pic. Fitted last night and havent had time to wash the car. Its freezing in the Cape).
