So last week Friday I took the car to Power Flow Salt River to have the exhaust completely redone.
The 'original' exhaust had the CAT's removed, replaced with straight pipes and the middle box replaced with a Power Flow box as the crack on the overrun was overbearing as the air could not move through the middle box quick enough.
This gave the car a very tinny M3-like sound which I did like. Especially coupled with a CAI the car was dead quiet from 0 - 3000 RPM but roared into life from 3000 - 7000RPM.
Fast forward and I decided I need more of a deeper sound coupled with the screaming I6. Spoke with D who was awesome and even gave a courtesy car for the day. Such an awesome oke.
The plan was to drop the standard twin pipes from the branch to the middle box, which then exited the back as a single pipe with twin tips, and run twin 50mm pipes from front to back and replace the rear box with a smaller box.
I must say I am VERY happy with the results. I was scared of droning but even with my shorter 3.46 diff there is absolutely no droning on the highway.
Will refer anyone to D and his team. Very professional and knowledgeable.
PS: When I brought my car in they had a Jaguar E-type they were working on and when I fetched my car they were working on a brand new RS5.
