My 330D tractor

It has been almost a year since I have had the ///M (http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=70294) and what an experience it has been. I decided to let her go as she was spending more time looking at the garage walls than out in our glorious sunshine.

I needed something that I can use daily, so in steps my newly acquired E90 LCI 330d auto. I got the car from a fellow fanatic who was a perfect gentlemen right through-out the sale and even after I picked up the car. Thanks Dean!

Onto some pics

More pics in the previous owners for sale thread, yes I am that lazy (
http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=70427)

All I can saw it whoa, what a machine! I could never get tired of getting pushed back into my seat after flooring the pedal.

I do have some plans with the car. The below forms part of my todo list

  • De-dpf + EGR delete via software
  • Freeflow rear silencer + better tailpipes
  • The vent tabs are broken off so they need replacing
  • Wheels need refurbishment
  • Detailing
  • VPS
  • Rim skins
  • Upgrade the sound
  • New Discs + pads all around
  • 335i intercooler
  • Radio LCD (dead pixels)

I am at 140k kms so the car is going in to Alistair (Xcede performance) on Monday for downpipes, EGR delete and software as a matter of urgency. I do not want an aggressive map for the software as I am worried about the strain that the extra power will place on the transmission.

Is there anything else that I can add to my preventative maintenance list?

Congrats! Car looks epic in this colour!

Maybe add 335 intercooler to the list?

Most guys have done it including me for a bit of peace of mind with regards to the turbo.

Many happy safe miles these cars are the ultimate balance between performance and economy!

Thanks Ash. That is re-assuring, and i am abit at ease now. This car already has so much of torque, you have to baby that right foot.

Tell me about it, but it gives you endless joy and when you can floor it...before you know it you are doubling speed limits so you gotta tap off! AND you have quite a rare colour as well

wow! lovely lovely car! The transmission is quite powerful and reliable. Don't forget to take it to ZF for oil and filter change. It should be high on you list of to-do for your own peace of mind...

Ah yes how could I leave that out. That will be my next mechanical maintenance done after the de-dpf.
