Howsit Guys, I wanted to find out about putting software on my car as i have never modified any of my cars in the past and im really considering it now. I have recently purcahsed a 2016 X4 2.0D X drive MSport (100 000kms) and feel it needs a bit more power. I have always kept my previous cars stock and just well maintained, which has served me really well in the past as i have never had issues with my vehicles so now i am a bit cautious who to let tune my car.

1. I live in Pietermaritzburg so accessibility is a slight issue. The closesest guys around me are: Insane Racing Midlands, Boost Tech Midlands and Global Tuning. Are any of them reputable and has anyone have any experiance with them tuning their BMW or what other options do i have?

2. What do i need? Just ecu and tcu tune, downpipe? egr delete and decat? swirl flaps? what is necessary as i dont want a race car i just more umph under my right foot without compromising reliability.

3. Also what should i budget as i have no idea of the cost of this exercise?

As i said i have never done anything like this before so i would appreciate some words of wisdom.

Thanks

Plenty guys to choose from but as recommendations above stick to xcede, they seem to properly care about their reputation and that's rare these days.
