WHOA ! What's your mileage ? I'm on 135000km's now
What did it cost & how long did it take if you don't mind me asking ?
Thanks

I'm on 97000km now. I got it on a special that was not actually for BMW's, but normal price is R2500 I think at Cteq for a 4 cylinder.

Hi Guys,

Bought myself this 2 weeks ago :crazylaugh:

It's a 2009 E90 320D Msport, got the full AC Schnitzer kit on which I'm not really fond of but got the car for a good deal. That bootspoiler and exhaust tip does not do it for me, although the tip is growing on me.. Would like a 335 exhuast conversion if it's possible.

Car is auto, fitted with Xenons, Bluetooth and IDrive. Dealer removed all scratches and dents, fitted brand new tyres as well and redid the steering wheel at their cost.

I did not have a good start with the car, first night the gearbox packed up, clutch and bearing failed apparently. Dealer fixing at their expense through ZF. R25k damage!! Eish..

Getting the car back today!!

The bit I did drove the car, I loved it!!

Don't have much plans for her either than fitting white angel eyes, removing the bootspoiler and replacing it with a smaller carbon one, maybe doing the exhaust conversion if possible and making it IPod compatible.. will see on some other stuff later.

Thanks for looking :coolShake:

Update:

Car due for it's annual service next month. Any advise on what to replace except the usual oil, filters etc? Going to replace oil, oil filter, air filter, and diesel filter for piece of mind. What you guys think else? Not very clued up on these yet, still learning. I'm not going to have it serviced at BMW as it's out of plan.

Also going to do downpipe and software (but going to have it mapped more for economy than power as this thing is thirsty for a diesel :thumbdo: ). :hammerhead:

Thats pretty much all you need to replace. Where are you serving the car?

Also, where are you doing DP and software?

Lies!!!

Its not thirsty bro...also thought mine was as well but the diesel uses a different driving style. a more consistent rather than conservative...

keep it more consistent on take off, cruising speeds etc and if you punching it, don't bother to floor the pedal as it will give the same power with lighter usage of the pedal. you will DEFINITELY see a different bud, i promise!:praise:

Haha thanks bud. Thats actually good to know.. Its just weird thinking its heavier than my golf 6 gti I had which was also modded. The BMW stands on 8.3lt/100km at the moment. Guys here say they get 5.5 etc.. Crazy... But anyway, will follow your advise. Cruise control, 120km/h best I got was 6.1lt/100. Thats consistant driving on a 40km flat road. What do you get?

I get between 800km and 900km a tank with 100% town driving. That is between 6.6 and 7.5 liter per 100km, assuming I fill up 60 liters (which I do).

Highway I get between 1000 and 1100km.

Sure dude, adaptation to driving a diesel took me long...i actually considered swearing at this car lol.

average in town, i get max. 6.3l/100km and best was 5.5l/100km
average long road, max 4.9l/100km & lowest was 3.8l/100km

Now something that shocked me...driving at 120 - 160...consistently gives the same consumption. cruise control not used all the time...IMO it over compensates too much..so i regulate it and it returns well.

But these are my experiences with my car...but i can honestly vouch that the 320d should not be heavier than your modded G6 because then thats pretty hectic for the diesel to be chowing that much.

I am sure it will come leaker soon, DP helps it and with software...it becomes tons easier to achieve the lower figures but also to soak your figures too :RedNo:

When i had software, was the first time i dipped under 4.0l/100km and also the first time the car saw over 10l/100km too :roflol:

I fully understand yeah.. My jetta tdi was the same.. Fuel consumption can go really high but really low as well with software and dp. Your consumption is really good, far better than mine.. My g6 got 7.6lt/100km for interesest sake.

Thanks for your input. Will do the driving adaption like you suggested, service it, dp and software it. Will see then. If that doesnt work then so be it

Oh dude, Just an idea while we on this topic...

also try using injector cleaner like the Liqui-Moly product...can use SpeedTec one just the normal injector cleaner.

did mine and also helped with the economy after using it twice.

Ratslaaf stocks both...

Was actually talking to someone in the week about this giving the same advise. My girlfriends dad also stock liqui-Moly so will get it through him. Thanks alot, will do this as well!!
