My 2009 BMW E90 320D

Do you guys think a carbon clean can help with consumption? I'm not that clued up with these type of stuff hence why I'm asking. The car has 96000km on, because 8.6/8.7lt/100km is the best I get in a combined cycle and then I drive conservatively :thumbdo:

So I got my hands on a set of 135i tailpieces, fitted them this weekend at Cowley to get rid of that hideous AC Schnitzer tailpiece. Came out perfect, exactly what I wanted :clapper:

Thanks for looking :coolShake:

Looks wicked dude!!

I always wondered what black tips would be like on an E90...this just seals the deal for me.

Love it!

BTW - Did your AC tips & your now 135i tips have a y-piece from the box? Reason i ask is i have a y-piece and it has a damn air sound which is annoying the kak out of me!

Thanks bud. The AC tips was straight pipe, I had to buy the Y-piece to have the 135 tips fitted. I have no whistle sounds!!

hey dude,

cool man, i need to find out why mine has like an air-rush noise, can hear the air cutting through the center of the y-piece.

Annoying, anyway bud...loving the 135i pieces mate! Perfect selection, especially on the diesel!

Enjoy bro:praise:

Nice ride.

Consumption a bit high. I am getting around 5.4L/100km (Combined town/Highway).

Gees  Best I have seen driving 110km/h was 6.1km/h.. Something must be wrong. I have discoverer last week that my tyre presure was ridiculously soft. 1.4bar in front and 1.9 at the back. Stupid tyremart that fitted the tyres never checked the pressures. Learned something new there, check it yourself!!

Car is a bit lighter on fuel in town, came down to around 8lt/100km in town. Wonder what it could be :hammerhead:

Funny enough there is Caltex fuel in my car. Usually I throw in BP. Will see, will do a carbon clean as well soon.

@Etienne_Pienaar

I have never tried BP.

I must admit, I do a lot of short distance driving as well as inclines etc.. Car does not feel under powered or something.. I'll just do carbon clean, remove the cat etc and elimate possible issues as I go forward.

Don't really want to do software on this car though

Okay so first step in maintenance was done on Tuesday by Cteq. Took the car in for a carbon clean. They said it's the worst BMW diesel they have ever done. Ports and stuff now mooi clean again :crazylaugh:

Couldn't really notice a difference in consumption yet as I live 5km from work and it's traffic etc. Will see when I open it up on the highway maybe this weekend, but what I did notice almost immediately is that the car feels so much smoother through the gears. Don't know if it's my imagination but whatever, feels great!! :clapper:

Next will be to have the car serviced properly as this would arrive in 2700km. If I can save enough by that time, a downpipe + software also, but I'm not really sure with what software brand to go with on the BMW. I'm not bothered about power on this car, so just to delete the cat/dpf and make it more economical is my main goal with software (and reliability ofcourse). Power is a bonus. Advice and opinions are welcome!

Thanks for looking :ty:
