You are correct. My wife watches street outlaws with me and after seeing chief's crash she is 100% convinced that I need a roll cage, she is so convinced that she offered to pay 50% of the roll cage cost.

She obviously loves you very much....

I also took the time to reinstall my VDO gauges, this time they took the place of the radio which was relocated to the glove box.

Looks good! Any particular reason for the two oil pressure gauges?

I dont suppose you could make me a seat rail and charge me for the privilege? Have a Sparco waiting to go in track car, but last rail made for me was rubbish.

I bought some universal mounts with the seat but because of the layout I was only able to use the outer one, inner mount is custom flat bar drilled the same as the universal mount. As far as the sliders, I had those left over from seats I bought from autostyle several years back. It takes a lot of trial and error to get the seat position just right so don't be surprised if its not right the first time, as far as building one for a customer, I suggest these:

Haven't updated this thread in a few months, its about time.

Just before the 2016 BMW Kyalami track day I fitted the second Sparco seat, got the one size up for passengers incase they larger than me. I also pieced together a style 32 set to replace my style 18s as my track wheels.

Pictures from the 2016 Kyalami track day and 2 onboard videos.

Today's progress involved ordering and installing a set of rear shocks, Bilstein B6 from a Z3M Coupe as they are shorter than the E36 M3 Bilstein B6 shocks. With the shorter shocks I was able to ditch the H&R rear springs that were to tall, I refitted my 550lbs coil-over springs again to get the ass low to the ground again.

I recently ditched the airbag steering wheel and refitted my 370mm MTech steering wheel again, the smaller wheel makes climbing in and out the bucket seat easier, the smaller diameter also feels more sporty.

I have had these BBS stickers for sometime, though I would try them out on the BBS wheels. Still undecided if they flow or not.

Lastly, I removed my bi-xenon retrofit headlights and refitted stock headlights with amber corners again. Reason was because I needed the ballasts for the silver touring xenon headlights and I hardly ever drive the E36 at night these days.

This has to be one of the coolest E36's around! Something about white rims on a track car that just works.. :clapper:

Thank you for the compliments.

White wheels on a white E36 screams BTCC, it's the look I wanted to achieve.

yeah the H&R springs I installed actually raised the car. Unfortunately the bilstein B6 shocks don't have height adjustment so I will have to ditch them in favour of some adjustable shocks. Herman has a set of bc racing shocks for me that will work perfectly, just waiting for him to finish removing them.

I bought GoCart's BC Racing BR series Z4M low mileage adjustable coil overs yesterday which will be fitted to my E36. These will replace the bilstein B6 shocks and H&R springs that are currently on the car. Now I can set the ride height just right.
