hi guys...just need sum info....i have a e36 316i.....i would like to change the engine ...wana put a 323i in....how is those motors an do i need a other loom aswell as da computr box,diff,gbox,propshaft etc.......or shuld i just sell my car an buy a 325i or 328i.......i spend alota bling on my car so will it b worth it to sell or do a engine swop ...thanx

And just remove all the...uhm..."bling" before selling and and transfer to the new car.


If a car came with a certain engine it is almost always cheaper to just buy the car with that engine than doing a transplant (as with BMW's you pretty much need a whole donor car just for a engine swap)

unless you have spent alot on the chassis by doing a custom paint job or other work... it will be cheaper to swap the parts over to a 328i...

you can swap to M50B25 or M52B25/28 engine with M54B30 inner parts (Crank rods pistons) and get 3.0L M3 US spec power plug and play...
