Little visit to MPH today and got to see the fastest G80 in SA…This weekend it ran a record 8.7s quarter mile down at Dezzi Raceway. Just insane! For some perspective my car will currently run a 10 second quarter mile down at the coast….

Little update… Had my 2 child car seats reupholstered by Leatherboyz in Pretoria, in black nappa leather and black anti stain material with light grey pipping to match the grey stitching on my seats…also had the M logo embroidered on the headrests of the seats to carry the theme through…

Been going out in the E36 every other Sunday morning at 05:00ish and driving different roads. The combo of the car and roads is incredible. Those of you in the Cape that aren't doing this regularly, I highly recommend you do. You'll appreciate this part of the world and your car SO much more.

The road presence must be something else with this beast. Stalked a F10 yesterday..this is a few notches above in terms of aesthetics. F10 looked great though with its oem wheels and size. There is a F10 comp with 50k mileage selling for 900k..awesome spec..the M6 and M5 are always on my radar..just so scared of that value drop on the resale.

Did a little testing a few days ago with a launch 0-100kph and 100-200kph times

Launch was decent but there’s more in it if I get the tires properly warmed up. The 100-200kph was 6.36s but invalid due to a slope of -1.05 so I’ll redo it this weekend for some more accurate results. Overall I’m pretty impressed with the times at altitude considering the car is only running a stage 1 map with zero hardware upgrades. More to come for sure…

Ride is OK - I changed to non runflats a few months back - much better. Will be going for Koni Special Active shocks soon as well. I hit 2 or 3 potholes in the past few weeks - no issues thankfully...I know that if I were on RFT's the tyre would have been done.

Installed some puddle lights for the front doors only. I got them from Open Throttle…the quality is outstanding and they are crisp and clear.
