Modding my 335i Begins

I have finally decided to go ahead with modding my 335i N54.

The downpipes have been bought from Mr Turbo

I collected the JB4 yesterday (thanks to Shayne for helping me)

I’m now looking for a Charge Pipe with Divertor Valves. I’ve requested a quote from PSR.

I’m also looking for the JB4 USB cable.

If there is any advice that you guys can impart from your experience with modding your X35i and if you have advice on things I should look out for, please let me know.

I big thank you to Psypher13 for all the advice and help.

You will need decent intakes. CP is essential and maybe a decent cooler. While you at it plan for a good set of tyres. With a little bit of NF you will hit those figures easily.

Just enjoy the process! I've never been into modding etc, but I started with my n54 335i and its been great. Learned loads along the way and the power gains are pretty fun. Only advice I would give is try do one mod at a time so you can notice and appreciate the improvements. O and be careful, once you start you will never stop, its way too much fun:rollsmile:

I would say ethanol is better.

I have obtained very nice results using Eth, with a lpfp upgrade both my lpfp and hpfp are good so I would suggest this if you want to run high eth percentages.

Cheaper, yes. But it can put your LPFP and HPFP under strain.

Are you referring to eth? I run 10% in every tank (as stated is possible on the petrol flap) Surely that % mix won't cause any issues? Or does it?

Not at that percentage. Once I started going above 30% I noticed the pumps couldn't handle it up top.

I run 50% ethanol content when I want to create a mass disturbance and both my pumps are hanging in there perfectly...

its really car specific and different cars will react differently... best way to know is with a log...

enjoy the modding fever Akash!
